[why is this html literalized? note: I fixed it, thanks for the answers. what a chimpish interface]
Via david, supposedly via mena. I was born on September 5th, in the sixties. I may have David beat for darkness here.
Events: Munich Massacre, charges filed in Mai Lai Massacre, Ford assassination attempt.
Births: Jesse James , Werner Herzog (also Freddy Mercury and Bob Newhart)
Deaths: Crazy Horse & Mother Theresa (also Alan Funt)
Observance: Teacher's Day in India
That is a dark day. I think MLK's assassination trumps those massacres.
Adriana says "everyone born around the time of vietname has a couple of massacres."

For whatever reason, there's html in the comments, but you have to create any links in your posts by using the little link button (i.e. the chain). Probably you already realize this and are asking why in more of a "why, lord, why?" sense.

This makes very little sense, and caused me to have to republish my first post.

At the bottom of the "Posting Toolbar" knowledgebase article, they say:
Tip: If you enter code into the post section, the tags are sanitized. It displays the tags exactly how you type them.
...which is a shame, but not too surprising.
As a side note, it appears to be pretty hard to actually paste a short, usable link to a knowledgebase article.

In case you haven't seen this, you can copy and paste text and html from the page straight into the post box and it will all be retained.
